Agriculture

Obbo has fertile and rich soil ideal for crop production. The land has been donated to African Action South Sudan. Using this land for agricultural projects will raise finance to sustain this project and create jobs for local people as they are employed to work in the farm, also providing food for the school students in the future. Farmers in Acholi and Obbo  in particular do grow many types of crop varieties such as maize/corn, sorghum, banana, cassava, sweet potatoes, simsim, cow peas, pumpkins to mention a few. Most of the farmers formerly trained during NCA program many years ago have either died or have reached old age. The young generation now active in farming today are again practicing traditional farming systems will be the project beneficiaries. Therefore, AASS through her project would like to re-vitalize the improved farming practices through training.
Together We Can!
